Try adding support for quake 3. I know it's an old game but it is still being played alot. =)
Apparently they see Quake3 as too old to even consider it, its a shut and close down subject.
Weird part is having less popular game actually in here and fully suported (Battlefield vietnam/Call of duty/Counterstrike) from what i can see in gamespy gametab/TASE and KALI2 they are less popular then the pillar of FPS itself made by the creator of FPS himself. Basically alot of games manifacturer actually bought quake3 engine to make their own. But most did'nt even notice that.
Quake 3 is old, but its gonna run for another 5 year easely, maybe more. The reason is easy... its fast, reliable, stable, bug free, and very diversafied (mod per exemple). Quake3 WAS 5 years ahead of any other FPS game when it got out also.
SO Quake3 being old? Bah hamba! its still better then some new game out there. But hey, am not the one to convince here.

Those games mentioned were added long time ago, and due to demand. An 'old' game can still get added if the demand for it is there, all it takes is a few people to request it and be presistent (not the annoying type) and we would be obliged to please the community and implement it.
Game-Monitor is here to please the community, not saying your voice is not important, just that this still does not make adding Quake 3 a higher priority than lets say: new database server being setup, new query engine, search filters..
So in a sense, the more people request it the more you boost the priority of it, as we want to please as many people we can as quickly as we can.
Anyway, I'll look into it, but still no promises when.

Yes, I too would like to see Quake III support. Also, another game thats popular is Halo and its not supported. I dont know if it has querying support (I think it does) but just an idea.

OK, but last time i approched you very politely with this on your IRC channel,i even complemented your system and webpage. The idea of even doing a servey to see if people wanted quake3 added here was very agressively deny to me. Saying that the game is just too old, and would be a waste of time and money. One even suggested to put a servey on the webpage, and again it was very clearly refused, thats why i said it seemed like a shut and closed subject. So that should explain to you the annoying feature you were refering to me. I do love the services you offer here, just maybe being clear on the procedure. Whitought any contradictions?

I know your alone on this, but even if you have alot to do, just saying that its next on your list would already be good publicity to start with. And you can always start very small if you have doubt on the popularity of quake 3 added here. Also When you refer to the community of Game-Monitor adding that my voice is'nt unimportant.. Are you saying that to be a member of the community i need to do something particular?
Quake3 is a pillar of mods. Thats probably why people come here hoping you have it supported here. Cause normally every gaming services do support it. Its simply does seem odd not having it here already. You cant deny that aspect. Am not blaming you in any way, am just stating a fact. I know a few gamer community who would love to have that services for their mods. But since Quake4 is still to yought, most mods are still on quake3. And am sure that most modder that came here just did'nt even bother to request to have it here. Cause they figured the same thing as me, that its odd that you did'nt supported it already. Thinking that you had your reasons, and that they dont want to bother to convince you to add it for them.

Ok, i dont see any features on the forum to create a servey, So HOW do the community of Game-monitor actually do a official request for a game to be added here?
Am sorry if you saw me as annoying with my last post, but i had my reasons as i wrote earlier. So hope i cleared things up.

If either enough people of the community ask for a specific feature, it will be bumped up on priority, and will more likely get done.
OR
If I see the feature as valueable for the community, and think it is wanted.
Anyway, you all demonstrated enough interest in the game, so it has been added:
http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php?game=quake3
Also, not sure if you can create polls right now (should be able to), but with the previous forum system you were able to.

I double checked permissions for registered users, and you can infact post a poll in this forum.
When posting a new topic, enable the option under "Post a Poll". You will find this in "Additional Options" section.
Really happy you added it, am sure ya gonna have some new people appearing now. Gonna make sure on my side that the guys sees this.
I dont see any *post a poll* under the *Additionnal options* section for some reason. Bug?

It should appear when posting a new thread, not replying. If it does not, let me know and I'll look into it further. If anything, its probably a permission problem, as vbulletin is a very stable forum system.
