herobf2rank.png BUG

I recently tried uninstalling bf2 due to multi-player problems and the file herobf2rank.png is the only file in the entire directory that refuses to delete. It says that it cannot delete because it cannot read the file from source or disk. If anyone here would know why this file is acting this way, or why it might still be in use, I'd appreciate hearing it.

My guess would be that you uninstalled the game then restored the computer back to a point that had the game installed. telling the registry that the game is installed when infact it is not. you can restore to a point before the game was installed then install the game and if you wish restore it back to your latest save. I personally hate the windows restore feature as it is a resource hog and slows the computer as is indexing feature and I turn them both off in the services but if you do not have the means to do a full system install from the windows cd this would be a bad idea to turn off the restore feature.
You did not state the real problem you are having can you be more specific. Are you not able to reinstall the game and if so what errors are you having.[/quote]

You could also always log into safe mode and remove it that way...
